Remembering Beverly Baxter
When I read Linda Imperatore's letter to the editor in the February 27 issue of The Wave, I remembered meeting Bev's mom in the parking lot of Dr. Lichtenstein's office several months ago. I told Linda that I considered her daughter to be the female Tim Russert of the Rockaway Peninsula. Just like Tim, Beverly loved her faith, family and country, and had a strong affinity to the Irish people in her community.
Throughout the years, Beverly and I spoke on the phone and wrote notes to each other. We both believed that God had blessed us in many ways and it was important to share those blessings with others. I remember Owen, calling me to pray for Beverly. Thanks Owen for you undivided love for Bev. Beverly Baxter is now enjoying eternal peace with Jimmy, Theresa and Barbara. Thanks for the happy memories, Bev!
