The Romans Invade PS 114
The children at PS/MS 114 don't just learn by reading books, they wear their knowledge. Upon completion of their studies in Ancient Roman history, the students in Jonathan Halfmann and Lisa Marecki's third-grade class (3-209), donned their best togas and stolas and celebrated Roman style. They tasted "authentic" Roman food, made a mosaic of the Coliseum, and created laurels out of leaves. Even the teachers, parents and some paras got into the character.
