Councilman Sanders Saves Local Child Care Training
Councilman James Sanders, Jr. has saved the Child Care Business Development Project (CCBDP), which sponsors the free child care training by allocating the necessary funds. The Councilman, a main supporter of the CCBDP, has made available funding for the continuance of the free training to participants who are licensed, unlicensed and informal child care providers. Sanders recognizes the need and the benefit to continue this free child care training to potential entrepreneurs.
Through the Business Outreach Center Network, Inc., CCBDP is offering a free child care training course. The child care training is an intensive twopart course that teaches individuals how to start or expand a home base child care business, as well as early childhood development. The training is 11 weeks and includes topics such as success planning, marketing, financing, and operations, as well as training in early childhood development.
The child care training class will begin on April 20 at Blanche Daycare Center, located at 44-02 Beach Channel Drive. Classes will be held on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Open enrollment has begun for the next training cycle.
