Bishop Kearney Tigers Fight For The Cure

Bishop Kearney High School recently held their second Kearney Tigers Fights For The Cure basketball game.

A special pink and white basketball was used and the teams wore pink shirts and socks. Bishop Kearney Fights the cure supports Children's Cancer centers and Breast Cancer cures. The Tigers have raised over $3000 to date. Bishop Kearney won the game against St John Villa, 60-48.

Led by team captain Christina Hiltunen, the Tigers finish regular season on a roll with two wins the last week of the season and including a 70-68 win on Seniors Night over Bishop Ford.

The Kearney Tigers vaulted to the #1 seed in the state "A" championships. Seniors Christina Hiltunen, Caitlyn Furlong and Kaitlyn Rose were outstanding in both games along with a trio of sophomores Samatha Retas, Taylor Raccuglia and Maureen Sullivan. The state championships will tip off on March 13.
