Disgusted … With Politics As Usual

Dear Editor,

So I read about the different candidates and pick one that I will vote for today. We really need a change and I would like someone that I will not be embarrassed to have represent me and my community. Chapey is sneaky and evil and Lew is loud and embarrassing. And out of the 3 others I choose DiResto. So tonight my son and husband and myself go to the booths to vote. I push the curtain aside and for some reason cannot find the name of the candidate I would like. I know I had read in The Wave that his name had been re-instituted. At first I am tempted to just pick one of the other 2 on the ballot until I decided to peer out and ask the voting assistant. She kindly tells me that I may indeed put that name but I must press a button, slide the no. one slot over and take the pencil and write the name on the slot. How many people would have been inquisitive enough to question the name missing and not just choose another. Is Chapey responsible for the name being taken off again? Is she that afraid he could possibly win? How many buses of senior citizens from St Francis did she bus over to vote this time? Haven't we had enough of the same old ... same old ...

Politics as usual ...
