In Memoriam: Raymond Quinn
      Dear Editor, When noted broadcaster and journalist, Tom Brokaw, authored his best-seller "The Greatest Generation," he doubtless had in mind just the kind of World War II hero our community lost. On February 4, longtime Rockaway resident and US Army veteran, Raymond Quinn, passed away at the age of 93, following a long battle with cancer.

Keeping Political Promises
      Dear Editor, A while back, The Wave had an excellent editorial calling for reform of our "dysfunctional" state legislature. The legislature has been "dysfunctional." That is primarily because bills passed by the Assembly have often not been brought to the Senate for the debate or vote, and because the workings of the Senate have not been open to the public.

      Dear Editor, I have been reading the letters about the school crossing guard in Belle Harbor recently. I don't doubt the sincerity of the people who are in support of this woman.
