Board Of Elections Sets Local Presidential Results

After a lengthy delay the New York City Board of Elections has finally released the Queens County presidential election results broken down in assembly districts.

The New York State Assembly districts covering the Rockaway peninsula are Districts 23 and 31.

Assembly District 31 primarily covers the sections of Far Rockaway, Laurelton and Rosedale. Assembly District 23 covers the Rockaway peninsula west of Rockaway Beach and select areas of Far Rockaway. It also encompasses Broad Channel and Howard Beach.

Assembly District 23, proved to contain a pocket of Republican representation when McCain received more than 45 percent of the votes, as opposed to District 31, which heavily favored Obama with nearly 93 percent.

Still unsure what assembly district you reside in?
