Coach and Rockaway resident Dennis Wresch said that even though the Molloy team was small this year and competing with Brooklyn teams with twice the number of swimmers, he was very pleased with the way his team swam all season long. Wresch said he was especially pleased at this year's individual championships and also mentioned that this year, as in the past, the team was helped in a big way by its Rockaway residents. Morgan White and Kirsten McCabe exploded in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle, turning in their best times for the season. With the help of their teammate Lauren Linares, who was hampered with an injury all season, the Rockaway girls helped Molloy remain the Brooklyn-Queens CHSAA Champions once again. Coach Wresch said he is looking forward to next season and hopes more girls will choose Molloy to help keep the city title in Queens.
