Last Sunday afternoon at the Essex County Richard J. Codey Arena at South Mountain, the Rockhoppers defeated the first place Aces, 5-3.

It was the fourth game in four nights for Jersey but they proved to be the stronger team against the visitors. Chris Ferazzoli scored twice as Jersey won their second in a row over Brooklyn (26-6-55 points, first place). Tom Boudreau, Kyle Bozoian and Anthony Becker also scored for the Rockhoppers.

Mike Thomson scored twice for Brooklyn and Kyle Hoffman added the third goal. Thomson's second goal cut the Jersey lead to 4-3 but with two minutes remaining, Ferazzoli added in the empty net goal to make it 5-3.

Last Saturday, the Aces scored 11 goals in defeating the last place Hudson Valley Bears, 11-2. Eric Frank scored a hat trick and added 2 assists. CJ Tozzo recorded four assists. Thomson and Matt McGilvary scored twice.
