FR Beach Replenishment Nearly Complete

The beach replenishment project started earlier this year from Beach 28 to Beach 38 Streets is nearly complete. According to the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, the $4 million project includes 300,000 cubic yards of sand replenished along Rockaway's shoreline and is being performed by the Army Corps of Engineers. Ships taking part in the dredging have been moored off Far Rockaway's shore for the last few months.
