Chapey's Disgusting Tactics

Dear Editor,

The recent tactic on part of Geraldine Chapey to have Glenn DiResto and Frank Gulluscio taken off the ballot for the Special Election for City Council is to say the least, disgusting and discouraging. Is Geraldine Chapey the kind of person we want representing us? I don't think so. She has used technicalities as her way of lessening the options "the people" have to vote for someone with dignity, loyalty, and sense of honor to represent the Rockaway area. She must be very threatened by the other candidates. She should be looked at with scrutiny as she has something of a "ghost in her closet," referring to her million dollar state aid for her bus service. Let's not forget that little technicality. It is this very thing that turns people off from voting in general and discourages others from wanting to serve their communities. It is time for her and others from Rockaway who run for political office year after year, who seem to have a monopoly on winning with ugly politics and disgraceful tactics, to give it up and let a "new broom sweep clean." Good Luck to Glenn DiResto and Frank Gulluscio in their appeal of this injustice.
