The Brooklyn Aces haven't lost many games in their inaugural season in the Eastern Professional Hockley League.

The Jersey Rockhoppers, who are a distant second place to the Aces, did find a way to hand Brooklyn only their third loss of the season.

Jersey held off a late third period rally and won 7-5 last Saturday night at the Essex County Richard J. Codey Arena at South Mountain.

Trailing 6-2 into the third period, Jeese Felten, CJ Tozzo and Kyle Mc- Cullough scored goals for Brooklyn to cut the Jersey lead.

But even Brooklyn didn't get the victory, the Aces still have a healthy lead in the four team standings over Jersey.

The Aces record now stands at 24 wins, 3 losses and 51 points, which are 16 more than Jersey. Danbury and Hudson Valley, in third and fourth place respectively, round out the rest of the league.

McCullough leads the team in assists and overall scoring with 58 points. CJ Tozzo is second in points with 53. Mike Christensen leads the team in goals with 23.

Former leading scorer James Branigan, who was promoted to the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL, has scored three goals and recorded 4 assists in 13 games.

The Brooklyn Aces will return home this season for a back-to-back set of games. The Jersey Rockhoppers will travel to the Aviator Arena for a matchup on Saturday, February 7 at 7:30 p.m. Danbury will arrive on Sunday for an afternoon game at 2 p.m.
