Regarding The Crossing Guard Gang Up

Dear Editor,

I am writing about the writings of two locals who have decided to gang up and perform a tag team amateurish character assassination on a crossing guard anonymously. Who are you? What is your problem?

These are "folks" who feel that the only way to deal with someone who does her job, because she WON'T LET THEM UP THE BLOCK, is to slander and defame the guard for following orders - are you kidding? Get a life - there are bigger fish to fry.

Further, they have chosen to incite a nonsense issue by creating discriminatory accusations between "common folk" and those that drive luxury cars. That is asinine. What, you have a problem because I drive a Bentley? Yo, what's up with that?

"It is known amongst parents," (really, which ones?) is an accusation preposterously based on hearsay gobbledygook created to further one's agenda by defaming and destroying a person's reputation by using the unknown again. You should be ashamed of yourselves. If you have a problem you go to the person, you don't hide by writing slanderous letters to The Wave anonymously - that is cowardly.

"Those of us that are not Italian," is another fine statement by someone that must have a firm grasp on the obvious. What does that have to do with a crossing guard enforcing what she is told to enforce? You park and walk your child like so many do, but you want to be special - don't be so damn lazy - get up off rear-end and walk the block. Of course, there are exceptions (there always are), but you are so full of vinegar that you make assumptions base on meritless conjectures.

You don't know what those exceptions are, maybe they are teachers, maybe an injured child - you have no clue, you just want to inflict pain on an innocent crossing guard because you can't get your way. Maybe if you weren't so vicious and you obviously are by the tone and the insinuations in your letters, perhaps the crossing guard may have cut you some slack. But too late for that, huh?

It must be very difficult to walk down a whole block for you. I have witnessed people like you before that refuse to follow the rules and ignore not just a poor crossing guard but red lights and stop signs to further your own scheme.

Obey the rules and grow up.
