Operating Engineers Recruit Apprentices

The International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 30, will conduct recruitment on February 2 through February 13 for 50 stationary engineer apprentices.

Applications can be obtained at the local, 115-06 Myrtle Avenue, Richmond Hill, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Completed applications must be returned or postmarked by March 6.

The union requires that applicants be at least 18 years old; have a high school or general equivalency diploma; take an aptitude test administered by the New York State Department of Labor.

Pay $25 test fee by money order with the return of the application; have a reliable form of transportation to work and class.
