Commentary By Danielle McShane Danielle's Rockaway Florist

DANIELLE McSHANE DANIELLE McSHANE After all you have shared together, or in the search for that special love - you could never go wrong with sending roses on Valentine's Day. They rank highest among flowers gifted, and with all of the special meanings behind a rose, you can understand why. Some represent passion and love, others friendship and grace. There are so many beautiful things you can say by simply sending a bouquet of roses. They are a sure way to romance a love, or show your special friend how much that person means to you. Take a look at the things our roses are saying…

-The meaning of a RED rose is romance, love and passion.

-PINK roses are given for admiration or appreciation.

-WHITE roses are associated with innocence and secrecy.

-YELLOW represents friendship, or the promise of a new beginning.

-LAVENDER is "love at first sight." -Desire and fascination are shown by giving PEACH, CORAL or ORANGE roses. Sending a bouquet of mixed colored roses can help to express the many feelings you have. Furthermore, special delivery to her place

of work would sure be a big hit. Gourmet chocolate hearts, mylar balloons and plush animals are a traditional complement for the occasion. You may also consider a gift basket that includes all of these great gifts, along with some other goodies such as candles and picture frames for your sweet. Of course, there are some here on display for you to grab on your way out, but if you have your heart set on something it's best not to take a chance. Be sure to place your orders

early because it is a very busy time of year for a florist, and you want best selection and guaranteed delivery on or before Valentine's Day.

If your girl is not so "traditional," it's probably a good idea to mix it up a bit. A simple vase with fresh cut tulips can make a very sweet gift. A cluster of orchids in a square glass vase is very classy and chic ... just like the lucky lady? Even a single rose dressed with mixed fillers and fancy greens can be tied with a sheer ribbon for a beautiful presentation that is just as romantic. Whatever your price

range, and whatever it is that you are trying to say, ask the help of a professional florist to design an arrangement that expresses your sentiment and send her a gift you are sure she will love!
