BCAC/JBLL Little League Holds Registration

Softball, Baseball and Instructional Leagues

The BCAC/Jamaica Bay Little League will be holding registrations for the upcoming 2009 baseball, softball, and instructional seasons on Saturday, January 31 and February 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The registrations will be held at the St. Virgilius Parish located at Noel and Church Roads. The meeting room is in the rear of the building.

The fees are $100 per child in the CYO Baseball or Softball Programs and $50 per child for the In-House program (T-Ball and Farm).

Each family is also required to purchase $25 in maintenance and raffles will be held for a chance to win $500!

Children will be accepted to the In-House program starting at the age of three. The child must be three before May 1 to be eligible. On-line registration is available for your convenience.

Spring/Summer Travel Baseball

The league is looking to establish spring/summer travel baseball teams for the 13/14 and 15/16-year old divisions. There is already a manager for the 15/16 age group, so we will need a committed volunteer to manage the 13/14 age group (contact the league at admin@bcacny. com if interested).

This program is for committed players and families. Without a solid commitment from enough players and families, this program will not work. The cost has yet to be determined. It will be based on what type of schedule (amount of games, tournaments... etc) the teams commit to.

If you are interested, please sign up so we can determine what amount of interest there is. This type of program will provide the kids with a great experience to play competitive baseball. It will help those players prepare to play in high school and for those already there, maybe assist them with the transition from the junior varsity team to the varsity level.

A meeting is scheduled for Saturday, February 7, at 1:00 p.m. Registration will be held at St. Virgilius parish meeting room to sign-up or who are interested in participating.
