'Take The Plunge' For Cystic Fibrosis
The ninth annual "Take the Plunge for Cystic Fibrosis," will take place on Saturday, February 7 at 1 p.m. at St. Camillus, located at 185 Beach 99 Street.
Individuals who will take the plunge for cystic fibrosis and for Annie McMahon, a young woman with the disease, will meet at the St. Camillus gymnasium before gathering for a group plunge. Swimmers and land lovers are welcome to join.
After the plunge, there will be an open bar, food, raffles and fun, featuring DJ James Tubridy. There is a $40 donation and swimmers qualify for free admission and T-shirts with a minimum of $60 in sponsorships.
The event will help raise money to fight Cystic Fibrosis, which currently has no cure. The genetic disease affects more than 30,000 children and adults in the United States.
