Traveling From Queens To Queens

Dear Editor,

I really think making us Rockaway and Broad Channel residents pay the toll on "the bridge from Queens to Queens" is an outrage, when we were able to go over it for free for many years. But times have changed, right? At first it was 10 cent and now look.

It's not too bad for us but for the real estate brokers. Who will want to buy or live in Rockaway, because of the toll to get to work? Things are bad enough now with the price of food and clothing so high. Not to mention the utility bills.

Pretty soon, people won't be able to live, putting more and more on welfare, Medicaid and food stamps. What shall the poor and the elderly do on small Social Security checks? I ask you?
