MTA Buses A-train Riders IntoThe Night

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) buses lined Beach 116 Street late into the night on Tuesday, sometimes blocking all traffic from the northern end of the shopping street as well. While the power outage that hit the street earlier in the day was solved during the morning hours, no subway trains ran to or from the A-Train station during the evening hours. An MTA spokesperson declined to speak about the reason for the transportation glitch, except to say that switch problems and repairs were involved.
