Operation Give Back, a family-run organization whose goal is to giveback to the community, made Christmas a bit brighter for many in the Far Rockaway community by distributing clothes and toys over the holiday season.

On December 20, members of the Jackson family and other volunteers helped distribute clothes at their first annual clothing giveaway at 10-11 Nameoke Street. On Christmas Day, the founder of Operation Give Back, Eddie Jackson, R & B singer Lady Charles and city council candidate Marq Claxton all played Santa by visiting Peninsula Hospital Center and St. John's Episcopal Hospital to give toys to children who were stuck in the hospital for the holiday. Toys were also distributed at Hammel Houses Care Center.

Operation Give Back and Marq Claxton donated the clothes and toys. The organization is a non-profit whose motto is, "If you're not giving, you're not living."
