The Emergency Department staff at Peninsula Hospital Center, under the direction of Michael Franklin, M.D. and Phyllis Prawzinski, RN, Acting Nursing Supervisor of the Emergency Department, invited the FDNY EMS personnel as well as all the community Volunteer Ambulance personnel to join them for an informal lunch on Wednesday, December 17, 2008. Other than just good fellowship, as part of its ongoing Continuing Medical Education credit programs, PHC solicited feedback from those in attendance as to what type of educational programs would best serve their personnel. All continuing education programs provided by Dr. Michael Franklin at Peninsula Hospital Center are designed to enhance the transition of ambulance patients en route to the Emergency Department at PHC.
