2 Shot At Ocean Bay Houses
Two unidentified men, one 17 years of age and the other 25 years of age, were shot in the rear of 441 Beach 51 Street in the Ocean Bay Houses on Thursday afternoon. Police say that units responding to a call of shots fired at that location found the two, one with a gunshot to his buttocks and the other with a gunshot to his left leg, lying on the ground outside the rear of the building. A Level I Mobilization brought units from the Patrol Borough Queens South Task Force, as well as aviation and the emergency services unit to the scene to search for the shooters and for evidence. Neither of the men reportedly suffered life-threatening wounds and both were transported to the trauma center at Jamaica Hospital for treatment. Police sources say that they have no suspects and are canvassing the nearby buildings for witnesses. Detectives from the 101 Precinct Squad are investigating. Photo by Nicholas Briano.
