Flat Out Wasted In Neponsit Auto Case
By Nicholas Briano

ABronx native was busted on May 5, after police officers from the 100 Precinct allegedly found her drunk in the driver's seat of a car with four flat tires, sitting on the shoulder of Beach Channel Drive and Beach 146 Street.

Police sources have identified the woman as Terry Holder, 40, who was found by police on Monday at about 11 p.m.

Police say they originally pulled over to the disabled 2002 Acura MDX to help her with the flat tires and make sure that she was safe, but immediately noticed that she smelled of alcohol. Upon searching the automobile, police say, they found an open bottle of Absolute vodka inside the car.

Holder allegedly admitted to police officers at the scene that she had been drinking. Police said she had slurred speech and was unsteady on her feet. It was unclear why she had four flats, but other motorists have told The Wave that there was a large pothole in the road that snagged several other motorists and caused at least five flat tires.

Holder was charged with drunk driving and drinking while driving, a spokesperson for Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.

Holder was arraigned on May 6 and released on her own recognizance. She is due back in court on June 9.
