for larger version       Harold E.Martinson Harold Martinson, a 40-year Rockaway resident coming from Brooklyn, died May 11. Martinson was born in Manhattan. He served in the US Navy during the Korean and Vietnam eras. He is survived by his children, Kathleen Whelan, Karen, John, and Edward Martinson; sister, Carol Jukus; grandchildren, Paige and John Whelan, Catherine and Shannon Dinerman, and Christopher Martinson.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. A funeral mass was held at St. Francis de Sales Church. Interment was at St. John's Cemetery in Middle Village, New York.
