The National Park Service is still hiring lifeguards for the 2008 summer season at Jacob Riis Park. Testing and hiring has been underway since January. No prior surf-lifeguard experience is necessary. Candidates who pass a swimming and physical stamina test and meet all other employment requirements will move on to complete a lifeguard training.
