St. John's Episcopal Hospital's Food and Nutrition Department is making advances for patients and visitors at the facility. The new food service initiative includes plans to refresh patient and resident menu options; offer healthy snacks, organic and vegan meals; maternity meals and congratulatory meal for new parents; and microwavable meals for after hour patients. Lona Marecheau, Director of the Food and Nutrition Department, leads a team of more than 60 unionized dietary workers, cooks and cashiers that provide nutritional services to patients, residents, employees and visitors.
