Samuel Robinson
Resident

Samuel Robinson, a Rockaway resident, died April 14. He was 64.

Robinson was born in Hamlett, North Carolina on April 24, 1933. He enlisted in the United States Army, where he learned about battle tanks. He was a professional boxer and was known by family and friends as a middleweight prize fighter. Robinson was a member of the New Canaan Lodge #83, the Royal Arch Chapter #1, Consistory Council of the 32nd degree and Lucille Milley Chapter located in Brooklyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eula May and Willie Robinson; brothers, Milton, Wilton and Eugene C. Robinson; sisters, Gladys Brown, Augusta Craft and Eula Mae Riley.

Robinson is survived by his children, Anthony and Debbie Green; step-sister, Elzine Robinson; aunt, Mozell Smith; the Resort Nursing Home family; and many other family members and friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lawrence Funeral Chapel. Interment was at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York.
