for larger version       Mildred Belvin Mitchell Mildred Mitchell, a 30-year resident of Edgemere Houses, died April 17. She was 51. Mitchell, a home attendant, was born in Perry, Georgia on December 30, 1956. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darius Mitchell Sr. Mitchell is survived by her mother, Jessie Mae Stevenson; father, Obedieth Belvin; son, Darius Mitchell 2nd; grandson, Darius Mitchell 3rd; daughter in-law, Motica Mitchell; sister, Sandra Belvin; half-sisters, Kimberly Harris and Sherie Felton; brothers, Ronald, Michael, Timothy and Patrick Belvin; sisters-in-law, Uris Mitchell, Danielle and Mary Belvin; nieces, Sade Wright, Rebecca, Karina, Rachael and Dallas Belvin; nephews, Darryl Burnett Jr., Dimitri Wright, Michael Belvin 2nd, and Regenall Fellon; and many other family members and friends.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Jeremiah C. Gaffney Funeral Home, with visitation at Gaffney's Friendship Chapel. Disposition was by Fresh Pond Crematory in Middle Village, New York.
