Rockaway Artists Alliance Announces Newest Exhibitions

"City Hall Station" by Jessica Schulman, Pen & Ink.
The Rockaway Artists Alliance offers three more reasons to visit Fort Tilden galleries this spring. Three new exhibitions, Of Women - Art by and about women; Black & White - The world in black and white and shades of gray; and The Human Figure - The art of world's most enduring subject, opened on April 19 and will run to May 18. The opening reception will be held on Sunday, April 27, from 1-3 p.m. at sTudio 6 and sTudio 7, Rockaway Center for the Arts, Fort Tilden.

Of Women, in sTudio 6, showcases the women artists of RAA. It explores the vast diversity of women as each gives her own perspective in a variety of media. In sTudio 7, the Black & White exhibition invites viewers, through drawing, painting, photography, mixed media and more, to step into a world of black and white and all the shadows and shades of gray. The Human Figure exhibition, also in sTudio 7, is where artists bring out their interpretation of the human body.

Admission the exhibitions and events are free.
