East End Churches Welcome Pope To City

It may not have been as novel as St. Rose of Lima's welcome, but this sign says it all as St. Mary Star of the Sea in Far Rockaway and its sister church St. Gertrude the Great in Edgemere, proudly greet Pope Benedict XVI to New York City with a sign hanging outside St. Mary's last weekend.
