Sorrentino Holds Clinic As Baseball Season Nears
FRHS Baseball Coach Demonstrates BB Skills to Area Youth
By Miriam Rosenberg

After being presented with their trophies, 2007 PAL Tournament champions and runners up from Sorrentino are joined by their coaches for a photo.
As Major League Baseball heads into its fourth week, youngsters all over the country are getting ready for Little League. That includes kids right here in Rockaway.

The Sorrentino Recreational Center hosted a baseball clinic for area youth last weekend with a special demonstration of the skills of the game by Far Rockaway High School's baseball coach Thomas Telford.

Signup for PAL Little League 2008 began after the clinic. Boys and girls can register for the 12 and under co-ed division, and boys for the 13 to 15 boys' division.

For more information call 718-471-4818 or stop by the Sorrentino Recreation Center at 1848 Cornaga Avenue.
