Breen, a retired United States postal worker, was born in Manhattan. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of St. Camillus Golden Age Club. He was preceded in death by is wife, Regina Zimmermann Breen. Breen is survived by his sons, William (Frances), Richard (Maureen), Robert V., and James (Arleen); daughters, Regina (John) McManus and Laura; brother, Vincent; grandchildren, William, Christopher, Courtney, Patrick, Morgan and Brendan Breen, Jennifer, Samantha and Christopher Zito, Regina Lena, Mary Brigid and Robert McManus; great-grandchildren, Andrew and Kate Breen.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. A funeral mass was celebrated at St. Camillus Church. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery in Woodside, New York.
