Click Here for More Information Thanks For Exposing Management I want to thank The Wave for exposing my cooperative Dayton Beach Park, its managing agent Phipps in last week's issue. Because of The Wave's insightful article, many of us were able to attend the Monday, April 14 meeting and hear first hand the incompetence of the management and the majority of Dayton's Board of Directors past and present. I was shocked to learn that after Dayton was exposed as owing 1.2 million dollars to the DEP in unpaid water bills for over two years, the Board Members led by Anne Lyons, Maryanne Lane, Joyce Plawner, Pamela Forher and Aldo Lanci (all Board Members during the last maintenance increase), were making more poor decisions, like opening the swimming pools this year, wasting thousands of gallons of water the co-op can't afford. Even a few of the new members, notably Howard Cohen, Gail Cohen, Vitali Legenki and Elena Iouboutick, were in on the same ole politics by voting for other resolutions that will only force the new maintenance increase, making matters worse. Dayton Shareholders must really start paying attention to what's going on and attend these meetings. Better yet, why not get involved and run for the Board? Though a few of the Board Members ( Jennifer Grady, Hazel McLean and Jeff Gross) tried to stick up for Shareholders demanding answers, their votes aren't enough on the Board to really make a significant difference, because they keep getting voted down. We Shareholders have to keep the pressure on! Attend the meetings find out what these career Board Members are doing, and when given the opportunity this fall, vote them out. If we don't, we'll only keep paying for their mistakes.
