for larger version       Ravens Continue Youth Sports Registration The Rockaway Ravens will continue to hold registrations for youth soccer, football and cheerleading programs at Far Rockaway High School. Registration will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Those who would like to become cheerleader coaches are also welcome to register. The 8-week soccer program will start on Saturday, April 5 and conclude on May 31. There will be a boys and a girls' intramural program for ages 5 to 16 years old. There will be a travel team up to the age of 16. United States Soccer Federation licensed coaches will be involved in the program. The coast of the program is $80 for eight weeks, which includes shirt, shorts and socks, plus training. Registration will take place on Saturday, March 29 at the Far Rockaway High School athletic field, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Ravens will have boys and girls traveling teams from the ages of 5 to 16. Initial down payment will be $100 due with return of the application, $325 for an 8- week playing season and equipment rental ($75 rental fee refunded upon return of equipment). Registration will continue every Saturday at Far Rockaway High School. Spots are filling fast for one of the top youth football programs in the city. Free after school tutoring will be provided for those who register.
