Charles "Butch"Thompson
Sanitation Worker

Charles Thompson, a former Roxbury resident, died March 29. He was 66.

Thompson was born in Roxbury on July 13, 1942. He grew up in Roxbury and worked with a private sanitation company. He was a member and past chief of the Roxbury Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie; mother, Dorothy; and brother, John.

Thompson is survived by wife, Eileen; children, Chuck (Kim), Lisa (Gil), Barbie (John) and Cookie (Bobby); six grandchildren; brothers, Wesley, Tommy, Kenny and Buddy; sisters, Dorothy, Betty and Gail; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were kept private.
