for larger version       Pernell Chancy Senior Pernell Senior, a longtime Rockaway resident, died March 30. She was 83. Senior, a state auditor, was born in Eutaville, South Carolina on January 24, 1924. She was a member of the Mother's Board of the Community Church of God in Arverne. She was preceded in death by Jackie; two brothers; and three sisters. Senior is survived by her son, Harold (Rose); sisters, Lila Gray and Dorothy Bryant; Viola Johnson; nephew, Robert "Bobby" Tilly; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements were entrusted
to the Jeremiah C. Gaffney Funeral Home. Services were held at the Community Church. Interment was at Forest Park Cemetery in Morganville, New York.
