SJEH Appoints Farzetta To Engineering Post
"I'm readying my department to take on some key challenges, including necessary structural repairs and establishing temperature control throughout the facility," says Farzetta. Farzetta comes to St. John's from Mount Sinai Hospital of Queens where he was Director of Engineering with Professional Services Facilities Management from 1997 to 2003. He received the Outstanding Service and Commitment Award from Professional Services Facilities Management. He was then named Director of Facilities Planning and Construction, employed by Mount Sinai Queens.
At Mount Sinai Queens, Farzetta provided strategic input in all facilities planning and directed several multi-million dollar renovation projects. He has a New York City's Refrigeration Operator's License and a New York City Fire Safety Certification, as well as training in carpentry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC (heating, ventilating, air conditioning) systems, and life safety codes.
