'Say No To Violence' Week At Goldie Maple

Students at Goldie Maple Academy celebrated their Say No to Violence week with a poster contest. The posters were voted on and four winners were chosen. First place was fifth-grader, Ashley Chavez; second place was second-grader, Jennifer Bodre Conner; third place was third-grader, David Lewis; and fourth place was fifth-grader, Joshua Buffa. First and second place winners received a $50 savings bond and third and fourth place winners received a $25 gift certificate. NY1 News reporter, Ruschell Boone, assisted in awarding the prizes. District Attorney Richard Brown, representatives Jesse J. Sligh and Tara Canterbury were also on hand. All of the posters were on display for parents and students to view.
