World Champions Win At Metropolitan Championships

The World Champions Karate Center recently competed in the 2008 AAU Metropolitan Championships. The students of the dojo did exceedingly well by garnering many medals in Kata, Kumite (sparring) and Kobudo (weapons). The tournament overall drew over 200 athletes from the metropolitan area. The championship was held on March 2 in Corona, Queens. Pictured to the left is the five-year old Kata (forms) team of (left to right) Steven Wagner, Luca D'Ambrosia and Celeste Melaro, who are holding their first place medals after the end of the competition.
