SJEH Receives Trees From Parks Department
 | | As part of the "Request a Street Tree" program, St. John's Episcopal Hospital planted nearly 40 trees, on the sidewalks that surround the hospital. The trees, provided by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, were planted on March 17 and 18. The variety of trees planted around the hospital included Callery Pear trees and Golden Raintrees. The Request a Street Tree program plants trees, free of charge, in front of homes, apartment buildings and businesses in all five boroughs. It is also a part of the MillionTreesNYC program, which is a publicprivate initiative that has a goal of planting and caring for one million trees throughout the city in the next decade. |
