Under the leadership of Principal Madden and Assistant Principal Leone, PS/MS 42 has developed a Behavioral Incentive Program for students. The program titled "Ride the High Tide of Good Behavior," is created from a model of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. Tide is an acronym where T stands for Tolerance, I for Integrity, D for Dependability and E for Empathy. When a student is observed exhibiting one of the qualities during school activities, they receive a "Tidebuck," which can be redeemed for various rewards.
