DEP Payment Incentive Program

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will hold an Outreach Event for those homeowners who are having trouble paying their water and sewer bills. The last information session was held on Thursday, March 27, with representatives from the DEP, Human Resource Administration and the Department of Finance present to address homeowners' concerns.

DEP's Payment Incentive Program is a one-time initiative designed to help residential homeowners settle past-due water and sewer charges. Under this program, DEP will eliminate the late payment charges of any eligible customer who agrees to immediately settle his or her water bill in full. Some customers will also be offered a reduced utility charge. Other meetings will be held to address the DEP program. For more information, call Councilman Joseph P. Addabbo Jr. at 718-738-1111.
