Congregation Derech Emunoh Celebrates Purim

Congregation Derech Emunoh celebrated Purim this year in its temporary synagogue located in a double-wide trailer in the Arverne By The Sea development. Two dozen revelers came to celebrate the most joyous of Jewish celebrations. Pictured, the congregants pose for the camera.
Congregation vice-president Jonathan Segal, Rabbi Heshy Rubenstein and president Robert Wein were all on hand for the celebration.

Food was one of the main amenities of the afternoon, including some delicious traditional Hamantaschen, a pastry which, in Yiddish, means "Haman's pockets." The holiday celebrates the victory of the wicked king by Queen Esther.
