Rescuers Foil Far Rockaway Suicide Attempt
 | | A 23-year-old male threatened to take his own life on the afternoon of March 11 when he climbed to the roof of 1334 Caffrey Avenue, an apartment building in Far Rockaway. He could be seen hanging to the roof, just moments away from slipping to his death. Rescue workers rushed to the rooftop where they were able to pull the jumper back up to safety. The unidentified man was sent to St. John's Episcopal Hospital, where he received a psychiatric evaluation. |
