Purim Carnival Draws Kids Of All Ages To West End Temple
The West End Temple in Neponsit hosted its annual Purim Carnival last Sunday, drawing standing-room-only crowds to the temple's gymnasium. Both adults and their children enjoyed food, games and lots of fun. The joyous holiday celebrates the salvation of the Jews from the wicked Haman through the leadership of Queen Esther and her cousin Mordecai. Traditionally costumes are worn by those celebrating the holiday and many bring gifts of sweets from door-to-door.
