PHC Diabetic Research Showcased

The results of a study conducted by Dipak Patel, D.O., a second year Family Practice resident at Peninsula Hospital Center, were translated into a research presentation poster that was entered into the American College of Osteopathic Family Practice annual research poster competition in Denver, Colorado. The study investigated the diabetic patients in Peninsula Hospital Center's diabetic program and found that these patients scored better than most diabetics at the national level, especially in blood sugar levels, blood pressure levels and cholesterol.
