He is avoiding his constituents who voted for him. His staff is comprised of volunteer high school and college students who can not speak for him, why is he hiding? Is he ashamed that, as a member of congress who still hasn't voted to authorize protecting our nation against terrorists, he is partly the blame? The U.S. Senate passed this important bill. Congress should have immediately given their approval. Congressman Weiner should use his influence to get it passed today. As of now, Weiner is seen as an unpatriotic way out liberal; who is losing the confidence of many, many Belle Harbor residents. He wants to be mayor? Fat chance. He may lose his next run for reelection to congress. Is congress waiting for another 9/11? Act now, act immediately, act yesterday.
