'One Night Of Queen' At North Fork Theatre April 2

Live Nation presents One Night of Queen in their first NY area appearance, on Wednesday, April 2n at 8 pm. In concert, Gary Mullen & The Works recreate and pay tribute to one of the greatest rock bands of all time, Queen. They will be performing Queen's greatest hits, like, "We Will Rock You," "A Kind of Magic," "We Are the Champions," "Friends Will Be Friends," "Radio Ga Ga," "One Vision," "Bohemian Rhapsody," "I Want to Break Free" and "Somebody To Love."

Gary Mullen has been a lifelong Queen fan and has always been a keen singer. His love of singing led him to join a couple of local bands, where he cut his teeth playing live at various clubs around the country. Being a big karaoke fan, he found much enjoyment in visiting the Horseshoe Bar in Glasgow where his uncanny performance of Queen songs wowed the crowd.

After an audition for the Stars in Their Eyes TV show, Gary was offered a place in the competition and went on to become winner of Stars in Their Eyes 2000 as Freddie Mercury. Gary received 864,838 votes in the Stars in Their Eyes Live Grand Final, more than double the runner- up, and an alltime record number of votes cast for an artist on this TV show. Gary Mullen and his live band, The Works, have gained recognition in New Zealand, Germany and Holland, as well as the UK and are going from strength to strength. Gary says "I am so grateful to all the people that have helped us to get where we are today, and long may it continue."
