Milestones
Rockaway Beach resident Eugene Kupin has been promoted to sales supervisor of Center- Care. He joined Fidelis Care last May as an outreach coordinator and was promoted to outreach specialist in October. He worked as a Center- Care outreach specialist for five years and worked briefly as a senior marketing representative at Health First before returning to CenterCare. Since 1988, CenterCare has been serving New York City residents with quality free or low-cost health coverage and access to care close to home. CenterCare is a subsidiary of Fidelis Care, a statewide health plan with more than 298,000 members in 39 counties in New York State. Lee Named to Ithaca's Dean's List Aylson Lee, daughter of Rockaway Park residents Michael and Denise Lee, was named to the dean's list at Ithaca College's School of Health Sciences and Human Performance for the fall 2007 term. To qualify for the academic honor, students must attain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 and complete a minimum of 15 credit hours.
Dr. Drew Bogner, President of Molloy College, announced that freshman, Lisa Marie Carroll of Rockaway, has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2007 semester. To be named to the dean's list at Molloy, students must maintain a grade point average of 3.6 or higher. They must also maintain a high standard of personal conduct, cooperation, and loyalty to the ideals and standards of the college.
Kate O'Sullivan, a Rockaway Beach resident and member of the class of 2009, has been named to the dean's list at Providence College for the fall 2007 semester. Providence College is the only college or university in the United States administered by the Dominican Friars. The Catholic, liberal arts college has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 3,800 students and offers degrees in 48 academic majors. Hamberger Graduates From Ithaca College Robyn Hamberger of Belle Harbor graduated Cum Laude from Ithaca College. Hamberger received a Master of Science degree from the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance. She is the daughter of Joel and Shelly Hamberger.
