Chamber of Commerce Honors Roberts
Walter J. Roberts, a Rockaway icon, was honored during the Chamber of Commerce of the Rockaways' dinner dance on February 7. Roberts, an active participant in every aspect of Rockaway life, served three terms (1984-1987) as President of the Chamber of Commerce of the Rockaways. He founded the Walter J. Roberts, Inc. insurance agency in 1950. The agency, currently run by his son Richard, is now named the Treiber Roberts Agency.
